Happy 2020! 2019 was full of a lot of change from getting a new job, to temporarily moving to Hershey, to moving down to TN, and starting running and completing my first half-marathon. Now that I feel more settled, I’m hoping 2020 will allow me to grow and expand more in my professional and personal life.
Here are some of the things I’m using to keep me on track with my goals for this year!
1. New Planner + Budget Tracker
Any other planner/Type A nerds get super excited about a fresh planner? This one is super cute and organized. I also ordered budget inserts so I can track my expenses each month. Hoping to be better with my budget in 2020!
2. 52 Lists for Calm
I love journals and reflecting, and am really looking forward to starting this new journal to kick off the new year. This journal is great for people with anxiety who are looking to invite peace in 2020. My sister got it for me for Christmas, which was such a thoughtful gift.
3. Obé Fitness
Let’s face it, overcrowded gyms in January are a real thing. While I’m happy to see more people working out, I don’t love the crowds. Obé Fitness allows you to workout anywhere with awesome classes including strength, yoga, Pilates, kickboxing, HIIT and more. You need minimal equipment and the workouts are fun! I mentioned it a few weeks ago and am still loving it. You can try it out with a free seven day trial.
4. Goodreads
I know a lot of folks set the intention to read more in the new year. As a book lover, I think this is an awesome intention! Goodreads is an app that allows you to easily track what you’re reading and create a list of books you want to read. I love the “want to read” section because when a friend mentions a good book I can easily add it to my app so I don’t forget it! You can also follow your friends on the app so you can see what they read and how they rated it.
5. Intuitive Eating
I will never promote any sort of diet. Unfortunately this time of year we see tons of diets and “cleanses” advertised, which I hate. If you struggle with negative body image or struggle with bouncing around from diet to diet, I highly recommend the book Intuitive Eating. It teaches you how to get back to a healthy place with your mindset around food. Such a great book for anyone looking to make peace with their body and food.
Wishing you the best in 2020!
