Hello! Happy Thursday! This week seems to be flying by. It’s been a few weeks since I shared about what I’m loving right now, and I wanted to share some things that I love and also things I find really inspiring. The first thing I share is what inspired me to get out of bed this morning and make it to 6 a.m. yoga even though I was so tempted to hit snooze!
Five Things I’m Loving Right Now:
- Can’t Hurt Me. This book by David Goggins is so inspiring, I feel like I’m ready to run a marathon every time I read a chapter. David Goggins is a decorated Navy SEAL, elite athlete and total badass who challenges everyone to see their full potential and get after it. Goggins had a challenging childhood and overcame many obstacles to get him to where he is today. If you ever struggle with doubt or want a huge dose of motivation, read this book. He also created the 40 percent rule, which I wrote about here.
- Cocokind Chlorophyll Mask. I love this chlorophyll mask from Cocokind because it’s gentle yet still exfoliating. Whenever my skin is acting up, I use this mask and it makes such a great difference. It’s clean ingredients are full of amino acids and vitamins that hydrate and protect skin cells. You can also use it to spot treat, but you may not want to leave the house with green dots on your face 🙂 It’s also extremely affordable for the number of uses!
- Girl Power Anthems on Spotify. I need some great tunes to get me through a workout. I hate when I’m trying to get in the right mindset and I press skip for every song that comes on because they’re blah. A few weeks ago I was in a music rut, scrolling Spotify, and came across a plethora of girl power playlists — the holy grail! These songs pump me up and also make me want to dance. I bet many guys would like it too 🙂
- Wireless Beats. Ok, so I know these aren’t anything new and the Apple AirPods seem to be all the rage. Maybe it’s just me, but I still prefer my wireless Beats. I like knowing that they’re secure on my head and I have way more faith that I won’t loose these compared to the little pods. I also see they’re on sale on Amazon today! These are comfortable, charge quickly and always stay in place no matter what. With the AirPod obsession, I’m eager to hear what you think — team wireless headphones or pods!
- Blueberry Smoothie. I’ve been making this smoothie on repeat for the past few weeks! I shared some of the ingredients in my grocery planning post earlier this week. Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- Handful of frozen spinach
- 1 T hempseed
- Vanilla protein powder
- 1 tsp MCT oil (optional)
- 1 T Laird coconut creamer (could sub any nut butter but I love the creaminess this adds)
- 1.5 cups coconut/almond milk
And that’s a wrap! It’s time for me to start packing for Easter weekend. Friday night and Saturday will be spent with my family on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay, and Sunday will be spent with my boyfriend’s family. I’m looking forward to a family-filled and lots of chocolate! Fingers crossed the rain holds off!
