Happy December! I hope you are doing well this holiday season. I know nothing about this year is normal and it is hard for many, but I thought it would be nice to share some things that are bringing me joy this holiday season.
1. Holiday Baking
I made these Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies over Thanksgiving and they were delicious! I think they were the best chocolate chip cookies I ever made. I will definitely make them again over Christmas. If you want to make them more festive, swap out chocolate chips for red and green M&Ms. I also made Coffee Tahini Date Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies. They were probably the most unique cookies I’ve ever made. You couldn’t taste the coffee so I would compare them to an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie.
2. Christmas Movies
It’s a tradition for our family to watch Four Christmases every Christmas Eve. The movie is hilarious and never gets old. I recently watched The Holidate on Netflix and really enjoyed it. I’ve also watched a few Hallmark holiday movies because who can resist?
3. Tree Ornament Crafts
I found this simple ornament how-to on TikTok! I thought it was adorable and decided to give it a try. It was fun and easy. I got everything I need at Michael’s craft store. Make sure to check their website before you check out in-person or online for coupons!
4. Rakuten
Rakuten, formerly known as eBates, is such an easy way to save money while online shopping. By shopping online stores like Amazon, Macys and Target through your Rakuten link, you can get cash back on your orders. It’s really simple and a great way to save!
5. Season of Giving
Giving back is one of the most special parts of the holiday season. This has been a tough year for so many people. If you are able, consider donating to charities that are meaningful to you or donating items to clothing and toy drives. I love buying gifts for little ones, so it was fun for me to pick out toys!
6. Puppy!
Here’s a special bonus — our soon-to-be puppy, Ronan! He is a mini golden retriever/Irish setter. We are so excited to bring him home on December 19. Receiving pictures of him has brought me so much joy — I hope they do the same for you 🙂
Happy holidays!
