Happy July! I cannot believe the Fourth of July is here already. Summer feels like it is flying by. I am ready for it to slow down; I feel like I still have so much I want to do — take a weekend beach trip, hike, go to a concert. I love this time of year but the months seem to fly by so quickly.
In the spirit of summer, I thought it’d be fun to share a new Five Things I’m Loving Right Now post. Here are a few things I can’t get enough of this summer!
1. Jane Iredale Contour Kit
This mini contour kit is perfect for summer travel! Instead of having to pack full-size bronzer, blush and highlighter, this kit packs it all in one. It’s a bit pricey but you get 15% off your first order and it has lasted me forever. I love the Jane Iredale brand because the makeup is nontoxic, clean and high quality.

2. Summer Reading
Remember dreading summer reading in high school? It was pretty painful (looking at you, Lord of the Flies). I always put my summer reading off to the last minute in high school in favor of staying up late at night with good books I chose. Not much has changed, because I still love staying up late reading. Good reads so far this summer: All the Missing Girls, Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine (which I mentioned last week), and Love Walked In.

3. Food Psych Podcast
I’ve mentioned in a few previous posts that I’ve been working on intuitive eating, a non-diet approach to eating that includes all foods and teaches you to eat based on your natural hunger and fullness cues. Diet culture has only had negative impacts on my relationship with food and my body, and intuitive eating has been the best thing I’ve come across to help tune out that toxic messaging. The Food Psych podcast has been an invaluable research to learn more about intuitive eating, how to ditch the diets and get back to loving our body. Christy Harrison, a Registered Dietitian, hosts the podcast. I highly recommend to give this a listen if you could use support in making peace with food and your body.
4. Smoothies
This heat and humidity are NO joke. Since it’s constantly hot, I’ve been craving cooling smoothies. My favorite combination is Peanut Butter Banana. It’s delicious, full of nourishing ingredients and filling. Find my favorite recipe here!
5. Essential Oil Candles
Even though it’s toasty outside, I still love winding down my evenings by lighting candles. I love essential oil diffusers but there’s something about candles that are more calming and cozy to me. It’s the perfect addition to reading before bed. I’ve been loving these essential oil candles that are made with pure essential oils and are non-GMO. They smell amazing and are heavily discounted on Thrive Market where I buy them.
What are your favorite summertime products?! Let me know in the comments!
Have a great Fourth 🙂
