So there’s this thing that I’ve wanted to do for a long time…I’ve wanted to share yoga videos on YouTube so anyone, anywhere could practice with me at anytime at no cost. I’m passionate about sharing yoga and it’s many benefits but I was held back by my worries. What if people don’t like it? I don’t have a studio or professional equipment, so if it can’t be perfect, is it even worth making? What if no one watches it?
The worries went on and on. I saw the fear for what it was, a normal, nervous thought. A thought can’t make you do/not do something. We have to recognize it for what it is, and say to ourselves, “I am feeling afraid.” But that doesn’t mean you can’t move past it. We must remember that great things are born out of ideas that make us nervous or afraid. We become nervous because we care about the idea and have the best intentions. Once were are able to acknowledge our passion and love for the idea, we are able to take the first step forward in executing it because we are rooted in our value.
It may not be “perfect” or “100% complete” but is anything really ever? We will always have ideas for improvement, but there comes a point when you do you best and run with it. Don’t let the fear hold you back. Share your gifts because even if they benefit just one person, you’ve served your purpose.
Find my first ever YouTube yoga flow right here! I can’t wait to continue to share more with you and would love to hear what you’d like to see — arm balance tutorials, long flows, short flows — let me know! 🙂
